Bobby Measmer, Jr. Out to Defend Home Turf in "Old Glory 150"
Track Champion and Pro Late Model Standout to Run for BDI in PASS South Race

Bobby Measmer, Jr. recently took the new BDI Racing Super Late Model out for a test at Concord Speedway.

Race teams are not unlike any other sports organizations; they want to succeed when the spotlight is on and also when they're on their home field. BDI Racing, based in Concord, North Carolina, is no different. When the eyes of the stock car racing world ascend on their hometown during the final weekend in May, BDI Racing will be out to defend their home turf, Concord Speedway, in the PASS South Super Late Model tour's “Old Glory 150” on May 29th.

To do so, BDI Racing has tapped fellow Concord resident and former Concord Speedway track champion Bobby Measmer, Jr. to pilot the team's #51 Chevrolet in the “Old Glory 150,” which will take the green flag at Concord Speedway the night of the afternoon NASCAR Nationwide Series event at the nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway during Coca-Cola 600 weekend. The racing event will be free-admission to the public.

With the attention on the “Old Glory 150” and one of Concord Speedway's all-time win list leaders behind the wheel of the #51, BDI Racing has set their collective sights on success in one of the Southeast's most anticipated short track events of the season.

“I'm excited about this event for a variety of reasons,” said Bob Dillner, who is also a NASCAR

broadcaster for SPEED. “First, I know a lot of my buddies from the NASCAR garage will be coming over from the Charlotte Motor Speedway to watch the race and second, it's just 10-minutes down the road from our current shop. I will be moving part of our racing operation to the Midwest after this race, and we'll have friends and family there, so this PASS race will be a big one for us.”

Bobby Measmer, Jr. will make his first-ever start in the PASS South tour behind the wheel of a brand new racecar prepared in-house at BDI Racing by Crew Chief Shane Tesch. Measmer is a former track champion at Concord Speedway in the Hornet and Limited Late Model divisions. He teamed up with Hughes Motorsports, a partner team with BDI Racing, for the 2009 NASCAR Pro Late Model season at Concord Speedway, where he won a division-high six races, plus another four wins in the Late Model Stock Car division. Measmer concluded his rookie season in a Pro Late Model with runs at two of the biggest late-season events in short track racing, the CRA-sanctioned North-South Shootout at Concord, where he finished seventh, and the Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway (FL).

“I'm excited to run the BDI Racing Chevrolet in this PASS South race,” said Measmer. “Shane and the guys at BDI Racing have built an awesome new racecar that I can't wait to run in the ‘Old Glory 150.' I've seen a few PASS races before and I know that the competition is incredible in that series, but hopefully between my experience at Concord and the knowledge of the whole BDI team, we can go out there and put together a good run.”

BDI Racing has entered the “Old Glory 150” off two solid runs in its two most recent events with veteran short tracker Bobby Gill behind the wheel. In December, the team scored a fourth-place finish in short track's racing most prestigious event, the Snowball Derby at Five Flags, then followed it up with a ninth-place run in the SpeedFest 2010 CRA-sanctioned race at Lanier National Speedway in Georgia in January. Gill has moved on to work in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series garage, opening the seat for Measmer in the “Old Glory 150.”

BDI Racing's partners for the “Old Glory 150” event at Concord Speedway on May 29 th include: Racing Electronics, Celebrity Hotdogs of Concord, NC, Team Chevy, Mac Tools, ARBodies.com, Hedman Husler Hedders, Schaeffer's Specialized Lubricants and Performance Friction Brakes. More sponsorship announcements will follow in the coming days.

Marketing opportunities for the BDI Racing team and its driver development program are currently available for 2010.
