Chevrolet short track development team BDI Racing announced today an opportunity for fans of short track racing throughout the globe to support short track legend Bobby Gill in the 42nd Annual running of the Snowball Derby.

Fans can show their support of a two-time Snowball Derby winner by having their name printed on the hood of Gill's Beef ‘O' Brady's of Pensacola #51 Chevrolet for the most-anticipated short track racing event of the season at Pensacola, Florida's Five Flags Speedway. click here to support

For just $20 for individuals and $40 for families of up to five people, fans of Gill, the BDI team and short track racing as a whole will be able to check out their name on the hood of the #51 Chevy owned by SPEED NASCAR broadcaster Bob Dillner during Snowball Derby weekend, December 2-6 th . In addition to their name on the car, fans that make the donation will also receive a glossy photograph of the #51 autographed by Bobby Gill and Bob Dillner after the Snowball Derby.

“It will be cool to have fans' names on our car for the Snowball Derby,” said Gill, a four-time USARacing Pro Cup champion and past winner of other prestigous Super Late Model races such as the Governor's Cup in Florida and the All-American 400 in Nashville. “I'm excited to be driving

the BDI Racing Chevy and hope that a lot of fans team up with us as we go for the win in Pensacola.”

BDI Racing made its debut at the Snowball Derby in 2008 with driver Ryan Preece behind the wheel of the Beef ‘O' Brady's #51 – Preece finished 14 th after a late-race incident knocked the team from the top-10. In addition to Gill's two Snowball Derby victories, he has five top-five and seven top-10 finishes in 19 starts. He made his first Snowball Derby start in 1986, which began a streak in which Gill qualified for the toughest short track race in the country for 14 straight years.

With Gill piloting the BDI Chevy this year, the team is welcoming fans into their quest to be in position to earn its first and the driver's third Snowball Derby victory.

“I'm really going to enjoy this year's Snowball Derby. It's my favorite race of the year, but it's even better this year with Bobby behind the wheel of our Chevy,” said Dillner. “He's been a guy I've admired for a long time; he's a hard worker and a racer cut from the mold that I grew up with. He appreciates racing and we get along real well. To have the opportunity to have fans names on our car for the Derby is a big bonus for us. We hope to take them on quite a ride.”
