talent on our team to help bring drivers to victory lane in the tough Pro and Super Late Model wars around the country.”
Based in Concord, North Carolina, BDI Racing offers a “total package” approach to developmental racing. Under one roof, a driver has the ability to drive a Super Late Model complete with top-notch, state-of-the-art equipment, talented crew members, including Crew Chief Bond Suss, the consultation of Dillner, and a team with decades of combined experience in both the short track ranks and the NASCAR garage. Suss alone brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. His resume includes short track victories with Mike Garvey, Kevin Cywinski, Jay Sauter and Joey Miller, as well as the 2002 ASA National Tour Championship as crew chief for Joey Clanton.
“We were a successful team before Bond came to our program, but he has certainly put us on top of the game in Super Late Model racing,” continued Dillner. “He and our team engineer, Dustin Archer, bring a wealth of knowledge, from simple organization to setups on the racecars and strategy at the track. Our Director of Racing Operations, Matt Kentfield, molds everything together from all the different aspects so that the driver can be successful in the car and off the track.”
In addition, BDI Racing offers exposure that few development teams can, utilizing a heavy public relations campaign for its driver and team with close associations with numerous media outlets in web, television, radio and print.
BDI Racing began its development of young racers in the INEX Bandolero and Legends Car ranks before creating an off-shoot program in the Pro Challenge Series, where they are among the winningest organizations in series history. In early 2007, BDI Racing added a Super Late Model to its stable, and with support of Chevrolet, BDI immediately became one of the most formidable organizations in the tough Southeastern Super Late Model world. Wins, poles, and top-five finishes have become the standard for BDI Racing, all while developing drivers to not only be strong inside the car, but also presentable and well-spoken outside of the car, as well.
“It is important for drivers to remember the ‘total package' and that's what we pride ourselves on,” said Director of Racing Operations, Matt Kentfield. “We know there are many organizations that offer a great car to drive, but what we offer goes beyond that. We have great equipment, but also a talented team that can consult a driver in many different ways, from how to approach a race on the track, to the duties that a driver needs to take care of when he steps out of the car. Plus, we'll create a public relations campaign to help that driver gain exposure.”
