After numerous victories, poles and championships together, BDI Racing announced today that the team and drivers Nick and Zach Stroupe have parted ways. Zach had been the driver of the potent #51 Chevrolet Super Late Model and Nick was the pilot for the BDI Racing Pro Challenge Series machine and Legends Car.

The BDI Racing team, including owner Bob Dillner, crew chiefs Bond Suss (of Bond Engineering and Consulting) and Dustin Archer, as well as Director of Racing Operations, Matt Kentfield, remain diligent in continuing the success of the BDI Racing team deep into the future in its Super Late Model, Pro Challenge, Legends Car and Quarter Midget racing efforts.

“Both Zach and Nick Stroupe are great kids and good racers. We have had a lot of great times together, and we all have meant a lot to each other. After four years, we have all decided to part ways because of a difference of opinions between all the parents involved, but we really wish them the best of luck in all their future endeavors. We have all enjoyed having them part of our team," said Dillner. "We have put together a top-notch, professional team during the past few years and we will continue with that trend into the future with all of our supporters. We look forward to announcing our plans in the coming weeks.”

On the track, BDI Racing and Zach Stroupe earned their first Super Late Model victory in the “Mom 150” Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South event on May 10th at Motor Mile Speedway (VA). By winning the event, BDI Racing helped Stroupe become the youngest winner ever in series history. In addition to the victory, BDI Racing's Super Late Model team earned the pole in its most recent PASS South event at Orange County Speedway. The #51 Chevrolet Impala SS also started in the top-five in four of its five starts in 2008 and had competed in the top-five in PASS South, Georgia Asphalt Series and in other prestigious events such as the Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway (FL).

BDI Racing, with Nick Stroupe as its driver, is the current national point leader in the Pro Challenge Series. Unfortunately, the team will relinquish the lead this week with just a handful of events remaining on the schedule. Stroupe earned three victories in the #51 Pro Challenge machine for BDI Racing in 2008, while brother Zach Stroupe brought the BDI Racing car to a sweep of the Pro Challenge Winternationals events at New Smyrna Speedway in February. The BDI Racing team is the 2006 Pro Challenge Carolinas Region championship-winning organization as well as the runner-up that year in National Points. Zach Stroupe also won the National Pro Challenge Rookie of the Year that season.

Another BDI Racing driver, Meghan Dillner, will compete in the #151 Chevrolet Silverado in the Pro Challenge Series event on Saturday, August 9th, at Anderson Motor Speedway (SC).
