Nick Stroupe and the Dandelion Inn / Little Italy Pizzeria / Denny's #51 had just about everyone covered in the Pro Challenge South Region event at Peachstate Speedway on March 29th. Stropue was quickest in practice, but the only person that "Slick Nick" could not beat throughout the day was Mother Nature.
Rain storms that plagued the Southeast all weekend long were nagging the Pro Challenge racers and the Georgia Asphalt Series Late Model teams Saturday afternoon. Once the track dried and the cars went on track, the Pro Challenge racers got just enough dry track to complete practice, where Stroupe and his BDI Racing teammate for the weekend Derek Pernesiglio were at the top of the charts.
"It's too bad the weather didn't cooperate with us this weekend," said the 12-year-old Iron Station, NC native Stroupe. "We had a great car in practice on Friday and on Saturday afternoon before it rained. We would've been in good shape with our Dandelion Inn / Little Italy / Denny's car in the race, but we'll just have to keep the car in tip-top shape for our next race at Franklin County."
Stroupe will get back to Pro Challenge North region racing on April 19th at Franklin County
