Going into Saturday, January 12th's action at Lowe's Motor Speedway (NC), 21-year-old Matt Harris, "The British Bulldog," was still within shouting distance of the Legends Semi-Pro Division Championship during the 2007-8 Winter Heat Series.
That standing only improved Saturday with an impressive third-place finish for the driver of the #52 machine for BDI Racing. Harris threatened for second throughout the feature event on the infield road course at Lowe's, but eventually settled for third. While points will not be available until mid-week, Harris figures to be inside the top-five in points with only three events remaining.
Saturday's action was also impressive for the rest of the BDI Racing team members, as well. Meghan Dillner led the way for the BDI Racing Bandolero Brigade with her strong seventh-place finish in the Young Gun feature. Dillner's BDI Racing teammate Gregory Lang had an impressive finish in the works as well in the Young Gun feature, but mechanical issues relegated him to 17th.
Bruce Silver also suffered bad luck in the Legends Masters feature, where he too finished 17th.
